Anne Ness is the Director of Marketing for the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. In this role she leads the development and implementation of marketing and branding efforts, with the goal of increasing enrollments and raising the visibility of the college. Her responsibilities include marketing strategy, planning, research, and the creation and execution of a variety of marketing and advertising programs.
Before joining the university in 2007, Anne owned and operated her own marketing and marketing research consulting firm, and she previously served as marketing product manager for a Houston-based consumer packaged goods company and for a financial services firm.
Anne has served as adjunct faculty member at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, including teaching Small Business Consulting at UH Bauer and Integrated Marketing Communications at UH-Clear Lake. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and has served the AMA in many capacities including President of the Houston Chapter and Judge of the Marketer of the Year Award. She is also a member of Women in Energy and the Association of Business and Professional Women.
Anne earned her MBA at the University of Houston. She assists a number of organizations on campus, including the members of the UH chapter of the National Association of Women MBAs, the Bauer MBA Society, and the American Marketing Association student chapter. She also serves on the EMBA Advisory Board and the Bauer College Masters Alumni Board.
