SunAmerica Financial Group is the name used by investors referring to the domestic life insurance businesses of AIG. Tim is responsible for corporate planning and strategy for SunAmerica Financial Group. In 2010, his responsibilities also included being Chairman of AIG Star and AIG Edison, two life insurance companies in Japan that were subsequently sold to help AIG pay back the U.S. Government.
AIG Retirement Services worked with the local AIG subsidiaries in Japan, Korea, Australia, and Taiwan to sell annuities through Banks, Securities Firms, Captive Agents and Independent Brokers. Responsibilities included market and product strategy, sales support, financial planning and analysis, and management/investor reporting. Consulted with AIG’s regional and country Presidents on how to expand bank distribution and integrated retirement services products into their overall strategy.
