Abigail Hubbard

Clinical Assistant Professor


Dr. Hubbard has taught MBA level courses at the University of Houston, College of Business Administration, since 1985 in the areas of organizational power, politics and culture organizational behavior and management theory and international business/cross cultural management. She also works as an independent management and organizational development consultant combining her academic specialties with her practical experience acquired through work in corporate, governmental, and non-profit sectors.

Professor Hubbard has designed, developed, and taught numerous seminars, workshops, and courses on leadership, team management, organizational politics and ethics, organizational culture and change (including cross cultural management), and many other issues of concern to organizations operating in a changing environment.

A recent focus is online teaching and learning. Dr. Hubbard has to date developed and offered five different courses via the internet as part of the University of Houston M.B.A. curriculum. This work has been extended by offering workshops to teach online course development and delivery skills, focusing on the unique attributes and genuine differences between traditional classroom instruction and the online environment.
