COURSE DESCRIPTION
This multi-disciplinary seminar builds on frameworks from strategic management and finance to examine global oil and gas strategies with an emphasis on how organizations can position themselves as leaders in the dynamic landscape of the industry in the second decade of the 21st century.

Participants will benefit from the synergies between the two seminar leaders. Dr. Dusya Vera is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management, an award-winning teacher, and a prolific researcher in the areas of strategic leadership, improvisation, organizational learning, and innovation. Executive Professor Chris Ross teaches the business of energy, brings 40 years of experience as a management consultant addressing strategic issues for oil and gas industry leaders and is co-author of the Book Terra Incognita: A Navigation Aid for Energy Leaders. Participants will gain a toolset of frameworks and pragmatic examples that will prepare them to think and act strategically in building and maintaining a valuable portfolio of resources with a desired risk profile, enhancing shareholder value, and achieving competitive advantage.
