As a senior executive, with more than three decades of fast-track leadership experience in the health care and consulting fields, Irene Helsinger offers a comprehensive understanding of the issues, challenges and solutions facing today's leaders of complex and dynamic organizations.

Irene's career success is based on her ability to facilitate positive synergy between management at all levels of the organization, and drive the process of defining, aligning and integrating the mission and values of the organization with the overall business plan through focused and highly effective human capital initiatives and strategies delivered through leadership, engagement and communication systems.

In Chief HR, operating and administrative roles, Irene successfully led this process in a variety of healthcare, energy and retail settings. At the Texas Heart Institute, one of the world's leading heart centers, as well as St. Luke's Health System in Houston, Texas, Irene introduced innovative programs, aligned with the organization's goals and mission, across the entire HR spectrum including talent acquisition, leadership development, on boarding, performance management, employee engagement and cultural transformation. She chaired the distinguished Studer Program Steering Committee and established the Leadership Development Institute and the Academy for Human Potential. To engage the entire organization in transformational processes, Irene implemented an innovative communications plan delivered by way of the company intranet, The Source.

To capitalize on these successes, Irene championed a publicity campaign to gain local and national recognition for St. Luke's and the Texas Heart Institute, gaining recognition in Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For three straight times, as well as the Houston Business Journal's Best Places to Work in Houston for six consecutive years. As a result of her leadership, the hospital system was successful in reducing staff turnover in key jobs by as much as 25%.

As Chief Administrative Officer, she led a system wide branding campaign that won an award by the Houston Advertising Federation, as well as an award from eHealthcare for Best Overall Website in the health system category. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Texas Heart Institute, Irene provided strategic operations leadership, while also coordinating international business development in China and the Middle East. In her various executive roles, Irene directed a wide array of health system functions, including Business Development, International Business, Marketing, Patient Services, Legal and Risk Management, Human Resources, Philanthropy, Pastoral Care, Episcopal Health Charities, Auxiliary and Government Relations.

Irene's leadership extends to the Board Room and the community. She served as Chair of the Board of St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital, and a Board Member of St. Luke's Development Corporation and All Saints Insurance Company over a three-year period. She has served on many community and executive leadership boards and committees including the Health Care Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership and Steering Committee of Houston Executive Women's Partnership. Irene currently serves on the Board of the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce, and Chairs the 2012 Women on the Move program for Texas Executive Women. This year, Irene also serves as President of Mazal Hadassah.

In addition to her corporate accolades, Irene has been the recipient of several individual awards, including The Texas Executive Women's Award, Woman on the Move, and the highly prestigious Human Resources Award through the Houston Chapter of SHRM, the Distinguished Human Resources Professional, Tom Burke Award.

Irene earned her MBA from the University of Houston and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
