Bauer Alumnus Named Tax Regional Managing Partner for BDO
Bill Hickl (BBA ’86) Credits Successful Career to Foundation from Bauer College

Bill Hickl (BBA ’86), was recently named Tax Regional Managing Partner for the Southwest Region of BDO USA, LLP. In his new role, Hickl will now oversee the BDO regional tax practice, in addition to being Office Managing Partner for their Houston office.
Hickl has devoted more than 35 years to the private client services arena, providing accounting solutions for executives, businesses and family offices. He is also deeply involved in several community organizations, including Incarnate Word Academy, KickStart Kids Foundation, and the University of Houston Alumni Association.
“I am a proud UH Bauer accounting graduate, and I’m grateful for my experience at UH that laid the foundation for my successful 35-year career in public accounting,” Hickl said. “I have and will always support the UH accounting program and appreciate all the work the program does to prepare UH students for their future careers.”
