Bauer Business Minds: Research for the Real World.
Bauer Business Minds: Research for the Real World - C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston

Author Gretchen Rubin observed, "The days are long but the years are short". Indeed, it is hard to believe that we are getting to the end of summer — a summer like no other!

In this edition of our newsletter, I am happy to share three stories. The first story is a tale of piracy and intrigue in which Assistant Professor Shijie Lu presents a natural experiment that sheds light on what happened when Netflix was blocked in Indonesia in 2016. The second story is about six of Bauer's marketing faculty who now serve with the best and brightest in the world on the editorial review board of the leading marketing journal – the Journal of Marketing Research. Finally, our newest episode of Bauer Business Focus looks at the pros and cons of telecommuting.

Have a great week!
