- 2. resource sharing (sharing printers, and other devices as well as software packages ).
Sharing software? But is it legal?
- virtually all software licenses require one copy to be purchased for each simultaneous user.
- the Software Publishers Association estimates that 50 percent of the software in the U.S. is used illegally.
- possible consequences for violators: termination of employment, criminal prosecution of the violating individuals and/or organizations.
