Centralized Routing
Advantages of centralized routing:
- simplicity: only one computer develops the routing table others simply use it ==> resources saved.
Disadvantages of centralized routing:
- vulnerability of the computer developing the routing tables
- does not reflect changing network conditions such as computers that are overloaded by many messages
- when routing tables are changed, network capacity is “wasted” to transmit the routing tables to all computers.
