Bauer Business Minds: Research for the Real World - C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston

As the African proverb goes “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Both stories in today's newsletter underscore the importance of collaboration in going far, especially if we want to create globally sustainable energy solutions. Our first story showcases the numerous global partnerships undertaken by Bauer's Gutierrez Energy Management Institute (GEMI) and our second story describes NSF funded research to develop and implement an energy risk tracking and alert system for Houston and San Antonio.

Both stories are inspiring and timely, as Houston — the energy capital of the world — recently celebrated her 185th birthday!
