FIXIT

The following kinds of routine maintenance items can be resolved free of charge by dialing xFIXIT (x34948), which is the customer service desk of Physical Plant:

 
    • Equipment moves to storage @ University Business Park 3
    • Locks not working properly (doesn’t include lock changes)
    • Landscaping issues
    • Broken/damaged ceiling tiles
    • A/C problems (hot or cold)
    • Recycled goods pick-ups
    • Broken elevators or persons stuck inside
    • Ringing fire alarms
    • No power
    • Fume hoods not working properly
    • Custodial issues (mop ups, spills, trash pick-ups)
    • Burned out light bulb

Bauer College Maintenance Department

For larger maintenance items, the first point of contact is the BCB Maintenance Mechanic office.  Some examples are:

 
    • Construction or renovation of office space
    • Ordering and installation of general equipment such as furniture and furnishings
    • Office relocation
    • Water leaks
    • Wall and door repairs
 

To request service or report a problem of this type, please use the Bauer Online Support System at http://helpdesk.bauer.uh.edu by selecting “building issues” from the drop-down menu. Some projects may require the support of Physical Plant or outside contractors, which will be requested and coordinated by the BCB Maintenance Department.
