Program Format & Structure

• Is the Online MS Management & Leadership a full-time program?

  The Online MS Management & Leadership program consists of 30 credit hours and typically takes 12-18 months to complete. This online program requires students to take 9 hours per semester. This program can be taken either part time or full time. Students can take up to 12 hours per semester to expedite the degree completion.

• Will I meet my classmates or is all work done online?

  Classes will be held online but there will be opportunities to meet on campus. There will be opportunities to meet with faculty one-on-one.

• What are the courses a student will generally undertake in the program?

  Students will undertake courses that will advance their knowledge of business strategy, organizational behavior (soft skills), human resources, and leadership.

• Do I have to complete an internship to graduate from the program?

  No, Online MS in Management & Leadership Program offers 3 hours of practical experience (which can consist of an internship) as an elective.

Admissions & Requirements

• What are your admission requirements?

  Admission decisions will be based on a completed application which include: official transcripts, resume, GMAT or GRE test scores, and a goal statement. GMAT/GRE waivers are available for qualified applicants.

• What is an acceptable GMAT or GRE score for acceptance?

  Although Bauer does not have a minimum GMAT or GRE score requirement, on average, a competitive applicant will score a 580 on the GMAT, or 304 on the GRE.

• How can I determine the tuition I will pay for the program?

  Below is the estimated total program cost for the Online MS in Management & Leadership program. With the Online MS in Management & Leadership program, you’ll pay the same per-credit rate no matter where you live.

• Once admitted, am I automatically considered for scholarships or do I apply separately?

  Students that meet the requirements are eligible for University of Houston scholarships. The Bauer College of Business also offers scholarships for both domestic and international students. A single application is used for all Bauer College scholarships, which can be found on the Apply for a Scholarship page. You can apply at any time. There is no deadline, but the earlier you apply, the more scholarships there are available for which you may be considered.
