About the SURE Application Day:

Attendees of this in-person Application Day will learn about the SURE℠ Program, which is a free, comprehensive, semester-long course where you can learn essential skills to help you start or grow your small business. The SURE℠ Program has coached over 2,000 entrepreneurs and supported over 1,000 Houston-area businesses to start strong and grow profitable. The Application Day on Saturday, August 8, 2026 will be a free, hands-on, interactive master class. Attending this event is the required first step in applying to the SURE℠ Program for the Fall 2026 cohort.

About the SURE Program:

This free award-winning program for local entrepreneurs offers:

  • Business education with no tuition or fees, just your hard work and total commitment.
  • Open enrollment to the public — you do not have to be a UH student.
  • Lectures given by industry experts in their field and mentorship by UH business students.
  • Topics cover accounting, finance, marketing, supply chain management, and more.
