Bauer College Recognizes Outstanding Grads
Outstanding Graduate and Undergraduate Students to be Recognized During Dec. 14 Graduation Ceremony

Several Bauer College students will be given special recognition at the Fall 2017 Commencement Ceremony at NRG Arena on Dec. 14.
During the ceremony, the college will name its outstanding graduating students, including eight masters students selected as the top in their respective programs. The college will also recognize undergraduates who earned cumulative 4.0 grade point averages during the course of their degree programs.
Outstanding MS Supply Chain Management Student
Brad Mandeville
Brad Mandeville has spent most of his life in sales & sales management, however he knew early-on that he wanted more out of his career than he felt that path could offer. His choice to attend Bauer’s MS Supply Chain Program has been one of the most enriching experiences of his life.
“I have been greatly challenged in a positive way, and I have acquired more useful knowledge than I ever thought possible,” Mandeville said. “The University of Houston, its amazing faculty & staff, and my student colleagues will always have my unwavering respect, and a place in my heart.”
Mandeville received his BA in business administration with a minor in economics from Monmouth College, and an MBA with a concentration in marketing management from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
He lives in League City with his wife of 10 years, and two boys, Flynn & Cade, ages 5 & 2, respectively.
MS Global Energy Management Student
Patricio Pimentel
Patricio Pimentel has 15 years of experience in steel global trading, sales, and distribution in the U.S. and Mexico where he serves customers and suppliers in the oil & gas, service center, distribution, and construction industries. Since 2011, his focus has been trading steel energy tubulars in the U.S. He has held international steel sales & trading positions in Mexico, South Africa, and the U.S.
Pimentel earned a bachelor in International Studies from the University of Monterrey (Mexico), and an MBA from The University of Texas – Pan American in 2001.
Pimentel is passionate about golf, enjoys singing, and has been married to his wife Nancy since 2005. They have two sons.
Outstanding MS Finance Student
Babatunde Cole
Babatunde Cole was hired by Imperial Oil (ExxonMobil affiliate) in 2006 and worked as a reservoir engineer in Canada from 2006-2012. From 2006 to 2012, he worked in oil and gas assets in Alberta, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Cole is currently an experienced portfolio manager working for Occidental Oil and Gas.
Babatunde Cole graduated from The University of Western Ontario (Canada) in 2006 with a double degree in mechanical engineering and computer science.
Outstanding MS Finance Student
Jonathan Crews
During his time as an MS Finance student, Jonathan Crews successfully balanced a demanding full-time engineering career with OneSubsea, a Schlumberger Company, managing multi-million dollar Deepwater projects in Southeast Asia and Europe.
“I used the practical knowledge gained from my classes to revamp and improve the pricing structure utilized by my company and optimized products for cost, reducing unnecessary costs by as much as 30 percent,” he said.
Crews developed close relationships with fellow students and professors, and cultures and he values these relationships as the most prized outcome of his experience at Bauer.
A mechanical engineering graduate from Harding University, Crews enjoys public speaking and learning.

Chelsea Faye Deutsch
Chelsea Faye Deutsch’s academic interest are in strategic branding and consumer psychology. She is a member of the Bauer MBA Society and the National Association of Women MBA's. During her time at Bauer, she participated in the Business Consulting Lab with Marketing Clincial Assistant Professor and Director of Bauer Executive Education Gary Randazzo and the Paris Study Abroad trip lead by Marketing Professor Vanessa Patrick-Ralhan, Ph.D. and Marketing Clinical Assistant Professor Amy Vandaveer.
Deutsch received her bachelor of business administration from Sam Houston State University in 2008 with a quadruple major in Marketing, Management, International Business, and Economics with a minor in Psychology.
She is currently teaching business and marketing to high school students in Alvin ISD. She lives in Pearland with her husband Steven and son Dexter.
Outstanding MBA Student
Nusabbeh Waqar
Nusabbeh Wagar received his bachelor’s in engineering sciences from Pakistan, and worked as a field engineering for almost three years in an oil field services company.
In his spare time, Wagar enjoys attending car meet ups, working out, traveling and experiencing different foods and cultures.
Outstanding MS Accountancy Student
Jose Padron
As a first-generation college graduate, Padron developed a keen disposition for hard work and commitment. He received his BBA in Accounting from a respectable institution but, in looking to continue his academic career, he was fully aware of the professional benefits that would accrue from completing a nationally-ranked graduate program with world-class faculty. For this reason, he transferred to Bauer in pursuit of the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSACCY) program.
Since beginning the MSACCY program, Padron refined his accounting knowledge, and has also strengthened his overall business acumen.
“The program excels at honing its students’ technical and interpersonal skills while providing the requisite exposure to some of the world’s leading organizations,” he said. “Thanks to Bauer’s national recognition and the MSACCY’s consummate education, I received several employment opportunities and will be starting my career with a top oil & gas firm immediately after graduation.”

Adrianna Kathleen Cooke has accepted an audit internship with Deloitte starting in January 2018, then will continue graduate level studies at Bauer College to achieve a MS in accountancy.
Thi Dam

Thi Dam studied accounting at Bauer College and plans to continue his studies in the master of accounting and joining in the finance department.
Eliane Desjardins
Accountancy & Taxation
Eliane Desjardins will pursue a master of accounting in financial reporting & valuation at Texas Christian University. She will then pursue the CPA & CFA titles while starting her career as a valuation associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Nicholas James Di Censo will begin a career as a senior crude oil analyst at Energy Transfer after graduation.
