Bio

Ozer Erdem is a doctoral student in accounting at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. Prior to entering the program, he worked as a senior portfolio manager in Istanbul (Turkey), managing assets of high net worth individuals and institutions. He developed statistical models and algorithms to find patterns and trends in large quantities of data. He used Python to analyze structured and unstructured data to conduct pre and post-trade and data-intensive analytics. His research interests include topics in machine learning, image and text recognition, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and the use of machine learning in accounting. Ozer has extensive experience in data analysis, Python programming, capital markets, and fixed income securities.
