Rob Shoss

Bio

Robert Shoss joined the Bauer College of Business, Department of Finance in the spring of 2014; he teaches "Personal Financial Planning", "Investment and Portfolio Management Project 1 and 2" and "Macroeconomics and Investment Management". He has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston and is a member of the Texas Bar Association, an MBA from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin.

He has over 30 years of experience in the investment management field. He worked as a senior portfolio manager for AIM Management/Invesco for fifteen years managing over $3 billion of large-cap growth assets and also co-founded and co-managed a hedge fund, Twinhawk Capital Management, subsequently. In addition, he has worked as a private investor, chaired and partnered on investment committee endowment and foundation boards and served in various capacities for nonprofit institutions.
