Bobby Tudor is the founder and CEO of Artemis Energy Partners, an Investing and Advisory platform focused on companies involved in the Global Energy Markets.

Mr. Tudor is also a Retired Founder and CEO of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. TPH is a leading Energy Investment Bank formed in 2007 with over 100 employees in five offices in the US, Canada and UK. It is widely recognized for its industry leading position in Energy securities research and Energy investment banking advisory transactions. TPH merged with Perella Weinberg Partners in 2016.

Prior to forming TPH, Mr. Tudor was a Partner at Goldman Sachs and a leader of its worldwide Energy practice. Over his 30-plus year career in Investment Banking, he has worked on many of the defining transactions of the period, across most energy subsectors and geographies.

Mr. Tudor is currently the Chairman of the Houston Energy Transition Initiative, which is a consortium of Houston’s leading energy companies working to shape the region’s Energy Transition Strategy.

Mr. Tudor is on the Board of Directors of Puloli, Inc., an early-stage methane detection and measurement company, as well as New ASEAN Energy, a US based company involved in Petrochemicals business in Asia.

Mr. Tudor is the Past Chair of the Greater Houston Partnership and of the Rice University Board of Trustees. He serves on the Board of Advisors for Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, the National Petroleum Council, the Jones School of Business at Rice, the Carbon Neutral Coalition, and the National Advisory Board for the Tulane Center for Energy Law. Mr. Tudor also serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Symphony, Good Reason Houston, and the MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors.

Mr. Tudor holds a BA in English and Legal Studies from Rice University, and a JD from Tulane Law School. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award for the World Oil Council and the Gold Medal for Lifetime Service to Rice University.

Mr. Tudor lives in Houston with his wife, Phoebe. They have three children, Caroline, Margaret, and Harry. The Tudors are passionate supporters of the Arts, Public Education, Social Services, and Public Parks.

Dan Pickering is the Chief Investment Officer of Pickering Energy Partners (PEP). PEP is an energy financial services company spanning traditional energy and the energy transition via business units focused on Investments, Insights, Consulting and Advisory.

He has spent the past 28 years as an energy portfolio manager, researcher and analyst, first at Fidelity Investments, then Simmons & Company and as the founding partner of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.

Dan grew up in Missouri, has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the Missouri School of Science and Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Dan is the Board Chair of MERGE Electric Fleet Solutions and sits on the Board of Trustees for Texas Children’s Hospital, the Texas Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Posse Foundation, as well as Capital Creek Partners, Midway Companies, the Houston CFA Society and Dynamo Energy Hub.

He likes being an old dad to a young daughter, traveling, reality TV shows, Twitter and golf.

Chevron

Jim Gable is Vice President of Innovation and President of Technology Ventures for Chevron. In this role, he leads Chevron’s primary organization for accessing external technology and preparing it for enterprise scale-up, leveraging venture capital investments, technology pilots, university relationships and a portfolio of internal transformational technology projects to deliver affordable, reliable and ever-cleaner energy.

Jim has been with Chevron 24 years, previously leading the Downstream Technology & Services organization, overseeing the development and deployment of Downstream-related technologies for the enterprise. In that role, he led the Richmond Technology Center, Chevron’s largest scientific campus.

Earlier, Jim held commercial, operational and technical leadership roles, including leading and assessing major transactions within Chevron’s Mergers & Acquisitions group and serving as the General Manager of Value Chain Optimization, where he was accountable for the profitability of the majority of Chevron’s US refining and marketing businesses.

Previously, Jim was Burnaby Refinery Manager and Country Chair for Chevron Canada Limited, based outside Vancouver, British Columbia. He was also Americas Regional Manager of Manufacturing & Supply for Oronite, where his primary role was plant manager for Oronite’s Oak Point facility outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. Oronite is Chevron’s wholly owned specialty chemicals company.

During his early years with the company Jim was focused on technology commercialization, leading the venture capital team within Chevron Technology Ventures.

Jim holds a Materials Science & Engineering degree from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.

Joe Powell (Joseph B. Powell, PhD) is Executive Director of the University of Houston Energy Transition Institute, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, Fellow and former Director of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He served as Shell’s first Chief Scientist – Chemical Engineering from 2006 – 2020, culminating a 36-year industry career where he led R&D programs in new chemical processes, biofuels, enhanced oil recovery, and advised on global strategy for the energy transition to a net-zero carbon economy. He is co-inventor on more than 125 patent applications (60 granted), has received AIChE / ACS / R&D Magazine awards for Innovation, Service, and Practice, and is co-author of Sustainable Development in the Process Industries: Cases and Impact (2010). He chaired the U.S. Department of Energy Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee (HTAC), served two terms on the U. S. National Academy Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology and on the editorial board of Annual Review of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and serves as climate advisor for the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development. He served as crosscutting team lead for Mission Innovation Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (2017), and currently serves on the National Academy Carbon Utilization Infrastructure, Markets, Research, and Development Committee. Dr. Powell obtained a PhD from the U. Wisconsin-Madison (1984); and a BS from the U. Virginia (1978), both in chemical engineering.

Burhan Koç is currently the Executive Director of Business Development at ENGIE North America. Burhan is responsible for leading his team that primarily specializes in product innovation, deal structuring, commercial origination as well as providing subject matter expertise and advisory to Commercial and Industrial clients regarding tailored Renewables, Sustainability and Energy Transition solutions.

Burhan is also currently an adjunct professor for the MBA/EMBA programs at the University of Houston Bauer College teaching Innovation and Commercialization course as it relates to Sustainable Energy Transition.

Burhan has 20+ years of experience in various business functions including Deal Structuring, Supply, Trading, Portfolio Management, Business Development and Commercial Origination.

Prior to ENGIE, Burhan has also worked at Phillips 66 as a Senior Director of Business Development spearheading Oil & Gas projects in the US. Prior to joining to Phillips 66, Burhan worked as the Director of Trading, Supply and Portfolio Management at GDF Suez managing Power, Natural Gas and Renewables portfolios in the U.S. Prior to joining to GDF Suez, Burhan had assumed other roles including Project Management, Procurement and Engineering.

Burhan received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Cukurova University in Turkey and MBA from the University of Houston Bauer College.
