Wealth Management Certificate
The Wealth Management Certificate prepares students for careers in the fast-growing area of wealth management and personal financial planning. In addition to investment planning, wealth management involves tax planning, estate planning, and retirement planning services. Students with this background may be hired by firms specializing in personal financial advising, commercial banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, trust companies, and money management companies.
Complete 12 credit hours from the following:
- FINA 7344 - Principles of Financial Planning
- FINA 7345 - Individual Taxation
- FINA 7346 - Personal Risk Management
- FINA 7347 - Retirement Planning
- FINA 7348 - Estate Planning
The certificate can be earned as part of a graduate degree at Bauer College of Business, either the MBA or the MS Finance. There are no separate admission requirements beyond having been admitted to one of those graduate programs. Alumni of the MBA and MS Finance programs at the Bauer College of Business can also enroll to take the required courses and earn the Certificate.
