International Education Week (IEW) 2023

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.

The purpose of IEW is to promote the benefits of international education and cultural exchange. IEW is celebrated across the United States on an annual basis during the third week of November.

This year, IEW will occur November 13-17, 2023. At the University of Houston, IEW is an opportunity to showcase the various global programs and international opportunities as well as celebrate our cultural diversity.

Join us for the IEW Opening Ceremony, Monday, November 13th 11:30am-1:30pm in the Student Center Plaza! We will have free IEW t-shirts and food, cultural performances, and lots of tables showcasing the many ways to go global at UH.

Seminar on "The Future of Higher Education in the Digital and Green Economy"

The seminar is jointly organized by the University of Economics & Business (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), C. T. Bauer College of Business (University of Houston) and the City of Houston (Texas). The seminar aims to promote experience and idea exchange among leading experts, scholars and policy makers on modern higher education development trends in the context of digital transformation, as well as enhancing cooperation between Vietnam and the US in higher education innovation and training quality improvement. The main discussion topics include: Sustainable higher education development models; Internationalization and global partnerships in higher education; Fostering connectivity between businesses and higher education institutions.

Fostering Global Education

The C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston is collaborating with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for a double-degree program, a first-of-its-kind transnational undergraduate program in the Philippines.

Upon signing an historic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the double-degree program combines the strengths of two leading business schools to create cutting-edge curriculum that will develop the next generation of leaders. Enrolled students will receive a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Administration (BSDSBA) from AIM and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (BBAMIS) from Bauer College.
