Accounting Scholarship Information

To be considered for scholarships awarded by the Department of Accountancy & Taxation’s scholarship committee, please submit Bauer’s scholarship application. Scholarships awarded by the committee include those offered through the college, department, and potentially external scholarships available through one of our business partners or organizations. Eligibility requirements and deadlines vary for each external scholarship.

• How do I apply?

  You can apply by submitting Bauer's Scholarship Application.

• Are there scholarships for international students?

  Yes. International students who have been accepted into Bauer College are eligible to apply for scholarships.

• I submitted my application but haven’t received an update yet. Why?

  Since not all scholarships are up for review at the same time, the submitted applications are reviewed when there are scholarships that become available. Students will only be contacted if they are selected for a scholarship.

• When are scholarships awarded?

  Scholarships will be awarded throughout the academic year.

• How do I find out if I received a scholarship?

  You will be notified via email if you have been awarded a scholarship.

• What is the scholarship award amount?

  The award amount will vary for both the departmental scholarship and external scholarships.

• Do scholarships come with an in-state tuition waiver?

  There are specific scholarships that have the option of including an in-state tuition waiver. If you are classified as a non-Texas resident for tuition purposes and are awarded a scholarship, your scholarship award letter will indicate if the scholarship comes with an in-state tuition waiver.

  Receiving a scholarship does not guarantee an in-state tuition waiver.

• Are scholarship award decisions based on merit or financial need?

  Both merit and financial need are considered for the departmental scholarship. For external scholarships, it will vary.
