Accounting Scholarship Information
The Department of Accountancy & Taxation Scholarship Application is available for undergraduate accounting majors, students in the Certificate in Accountancy Program (CAP), and students in the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSACCY) Program.
In addition to internal scholarships, students can upload materials for external scholarships through our business partners and organizations. The application is available at the start of each academic year. At the end of the academic year, submitted applications will be archived, and the student will need to re-create a user account.
Please Note: Submission of the scholarship application does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded to you.
The Department of Accountancy & Taxation Scholarship Application is only open to declared and enrolled accounting majors or students enrolled in the CAP or MSACCY programs.
The GPA requirement for students in the BBA in Accounting or the MSACCCY Program is a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Students who are enrolled in CAP must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and have at least 9 hours of CAP accounting courses completed.
Students who apply for an external scholarship through one of our business partners or organizations will need to upload the application form(s) for each scholarship they apply to. Students will be notified via email when external scholarships become available. Eligibility requirements and deadlines vary for each external scholarship.

How do I apply?
You can apply by submitting the filled-out Department of Department of Accountancy & Taxation Scholarship Application.
When do I apply?
You may submit the online application at any time for departmental scholarships. The earlier you apply, the more scholarships there are available and the more for which you will be considered. You may only submit the department scholarship application once, but you may submit as many external scholarship applications as you wish when they become available (announced via email). The deadline for the external scholarship applications will be announced in the information sent via email.
Who can apply?
The application is available for undergraduate accounting students, CAP students, and students in the MSACCY Program. Scholarship applicants in the undergraduate accounting program and the MSACCY Program must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA; CAP students must also have a 3.5 cumulative GPA with at least 9 hours of CAP accounting courses completed.
Can I apply before I am admitted to the undergraduate or graduate program?
You will need to be a declared and enrolled accounting major or enrolled in the CAP or MSACCY program before you can apply.
Are there scholarships for international students?
Yes. International students who have been accepted into Bauer College are eligible to apply for scholarships.
When are scholarships awarded?
Scholarships will be awarded throughout the academic year.
How do I find out if I received a scholarship?
You will be notified via email if you have been awarded a scholarship.
What is the scholarship award amount?
The award amount will vary for both the departmental scholarship and external scholarships.
Are scholarship award decisions based on merit or financial need?
Both merit and financial need are considered for the departmental scholarship. For external scholarships, it will vary.
What information do I need to fill out the application?
For the departmental scholarship, you will need access to your prior grades. For external scholarships, the requirements will vary by scholarship.
Do I need a letter of recommendation?
Yes, two letters of recommendation are required from professors or supervisors for the departmental scholarship. For external scholarships, the requirement will vary.
Can I save the application and finish it later?
Yes, the application can be saved and resumed later within the same academic year.
