Graduate Commencement Ceremony

**This will be a ticketed event. Graduates are allowed a max of 6 guests.**

2 p.m. at the Fertitta Center, UH Campus

Regular Deadline to file: Friday, February 27, 2026

Late Deadline to file: Friday, March 27, 2026

Commencement is the graduation ceremony where students will be individually recognized for their academic achievement. The UH Bauer College of Business has two commencement ceremonies for graduating bachelor’s, masters and doctoral students:

  • one at the end of the fall semester
  • one at the end of the spring semester

Students graduating in the summer will participate in the prior spring ceremony.

Whether or not a student participates in the commencement ceremony, actual graduation is contingent upon successful completion of all graduate coursework and other degree requirements by the end of the semester for which the student has filed.

Participation in commencement is based on the term in which a student completes their degree requirements, and as such, students are not permitted to defer their graduation walk beyond the designated commencement period for their graduating term. While we recognize that attending commencement is a meaningful milestone, the Bauer College must adhere to established policies, capacity limitations, and safety regulations. Requests to defer participation to future ceremonies outside the approved timeframe cannot be accommodated.
