Insight Sessions & Getting Involved
Dates: August 28 – September 1
Description: Let’s get to know each other and start building our Bauer community and learn how to be involved in your Bauer community. Also, spend some time at the Bauer Involvement Fair to learn more about the organizations present.

Time Management Highlighter Party
Dates: September 5 – September 8
Description: Share goals and aspirations. Join your peer leader as they guide a discussion around setting goals, planning your major and future. Bring your class syllabi and let’s plan out the semester together!

Career Fair Prep
Dates: September 11 – September 15
Description: The Career Fair is at the end of the week! Need some pointers on how to make the most out of your first RCC Career Fair? The Peer Leaders will fill you in with all you need to know – including what to wear, what to bring, what to expect, & crafting your “30-second me” pitch.

Study Skills for Success
Dates: September 18 – September 22
Description: There may be a reason that the study tactics that work for your friend do not work as well for you. Did you know that everyone has a different learning style? Find out what yours is and some study strategies that work best for your learning style.

Personal Branding & Networking
Dates: September 25 – September 29
Description: The way you present yourself in-person & online can make an impact on how others see you. Join the Peer Leaders as they lead a discussion on why personal branding is important, how to network with others, and how to establish your personal brand online using LinkedIn.

How to Interview
Dates: October 2 – October 6
Description: Let’s discuss strategies for interviewing, common questions, and mistakes to avoid! The Peer Leaders will be sharing their best tips for acing the interview. Also, take a visit to Bauer's own Rockwell Career Center & learn about what resources they have for interviewing.

Critical Thinking & Emotional Intelligence
Dates: October 9 – October 13
Description: Critical thinking and emotional intelligence are two of the most important skills that anyone can have. They are both useful in our personal and professional lives. In this seminar, the Peer Leaders will lead a series of activities to help you sharpen those tools.

Leadership and Values
Dates: October 16 – October 20
Description: What is important to you? How do you want others to see you? What impact do you want to leave? Do you let these things guide your actions? Let’s talk about leading with your values and how you can begin to grow your leadership skills!

Intro. To Public Speaking
Dates: October 23 – October 27
Description: As a future business professional, public speaking is a tool that you need to have to help you communicate effectively to your coworkers, bosses, employees, or clients. The Peer Leaders are sharing their tips for success to help you level up!

Facing Adversity/How to GRIT Through College
Dates: October 30 – November 3
Description: This workshop will focus on building confidence to overcome obstacles and various challenges while in college. Come learn the importance of self-compassion, challenging the negative thoughts that keep you feeling stuck, and encouraging and empowering yourself.

College, Finances, & Scholarships
Dates: November 6 – November 10
Description: Learn some of the basics for budgeting and managing your money! Take an honest look at how you spend money and learn how you can be smarter with your income.

Letter of Self-Reflection
Dates: November 13 – November 17
Description: Ever wanted to know what your younger self would say to where you are right now? Take the opportunity to find out. In this seminar, you will write a letter to yourself years from now when you are graduating. At the end of the semester that you graduate, you will get the letter back and see how you have made yourself proud!
